Dear Members,
I am pleased to announce the programme for the Virtual Conference on May 28, 2021. As you know, we took the decision to postpone the face-to-face Congress in Athens to May 2022. From the 54 abstracts that were submitted for the BJS prize, it is clear that scientific work is continuing and this meeting is an opportunity to share in the latest research in Endocrine surgery. The meeting starts at 10:00 CET with an Extraordinary General Assembly to allow the usual business to continue. The programme includes a session on published studies from the Eurocrine project, reports from our travelling fellows and the short-listed papers for the BJS Prize. I am delighted to announce that our guest lecture will be delivered by Dr Shonni Silverberg from New York. Shonni has written the very best papers on primary hyperparathyroidism with a particular focus on conservative management and the indications for surgery. Her topic for the BJS lecture is the management of 1HPT after unsuccessful parathyroid surgery.
